Make a list of chores, then pick a Toro Workman® Utility Vehicle to handle them. From topdressing and spraying to moving equipment and material, there’s a versatile model just right for the task. To help you choose the right model for your needs, here’s a look at the full Workman lineup, including the latest features.
GTX Series
The expansion of the GTX Series begins with the GTX Lithium-Ion, the largest lithium-ion model in its class. The highly efficient lithium-ion power packs deliver hours of reliable performance day after day, and because they’re maintenance-free, the machine is always ready to get to work. The charger is built in, so you never have to worry about tracking it down. Plus, the GTX Lithium-Ion is nearly 400 pounds lighter than traditional Workman GTX models, so it makes a big impression on productivity without leaving a big impression on your turf.
The GTX Series has also expanded to include new GTX Lithium-Ion Lifted and GTX EFI Lifted models with an additional three inches of ground clearance. The higher clearance protects grounds facilities by making it easier for operators to drive over rough or uneven areas without causing damage, and it reduces the risk of accidentally dragging debris that can gouge the turf. Both models utilize modern 12” aluminum wheels and large 22” tires that protect the course by evenly distributing weight, and the tires feature a tread pattern specially designed for driving over turf.
With an unmatched combination of comfort, utility and control, GTX models are ideal for grounds and turf work. All models offer automotive-grade rack and pinion steering system for exceptional control with minimal steering effort while operating fully loaded or empty, plus low-maintenance hydraulic disk brakes for reliable stopping power. The coil-over shock absorber suspension on all four tires delivers the most comfortable ride on turf. Plus, all models can be customized for your specific needs, including two-, four- and six-seat configurations with bench or bucket seats. Front or rear mounts can be added for garbage cans, hose reels or walk spreaders to free up the bed for more hauling capacity. You can even swap the cargo bed for a 4- or 6-ft (1.22 or 1.83 m) flatbed with an available electric bed lift, a rear-facing seat, and more.
MDX Series
The MDX Series with Superior Ride Quality (SRQ™) combines comfort and productivity. It’s an everyday workhorse ideal for hauling large loads of dirt or sand, course renovation projects and more. Need to power through slick, muddy areas? The MDX Series gets it done.
As part of Toro’s groundbreaking SRQ system, the Active In-Frame™ twister joint allows the front and rear chassis to move independently of each other, so all four wheels stay on the ground on hilly or uneven terrain for added vehicle control. Plus, the coil-over shock absorber suspension reduces operator fatigue — and improves productivity — by cushioning operators over bumps and undulations.
MDX Series models also have a 1,650 lb (750 kg) payload capacity, the highest in their class, and can tow up to 1,200 lbs (544 kg) with the optional heavy-duty hitch. Add on attachments and accessories such as a deluxe hard cab, electric bed lift, BOSS® snowplow and more, and it’s easy to see how the Workman MDX can help you handle anything.
HD/HDX Series
For maximum hauling and towing power, you can’t beat the Workman HD/HDX Series. It features an I-beam axle that’s seven times stronger than a tubular design and a bed that hauls up to 3,352 lbs (1,520 kg). Plus, the highly efficient fuel-injected engine gives you the power you need without constant trips to gas up.
The automatic, bi-directional 4-wheel drive traction system provides additional traction on demand when needed. Plus, the independent front suspension features two double A-frames with opposing dual coil springs and dual shock absorbers, creating a comfortable ride while reducing operator fatigue.
Of course, like all Workman models, the HD/HDX Series features that famous Toro durability, starting with a specially designed composite front bumper with energy-absorbing crush zone protection. The 4-wheel hydraulic disc brakes provide greater stopping power and easier servicing than traditional drum brakes. For power, strength and long-lasting performance, the HD/HDX Series has you covered.
